Chimo Golf built me some Toski fairway woods and I can honestly say they have been the best low profile woods I have ever hit.

Custom Built Clubs

If you want to play better golf, the key is the use of properly fitted golf equipment. Each individual is unique. Like fingerprints, no two golfers swing exactly the same. When you buy clubs off the rack you are buying a “one club fits all” set which was mass-produced on an assembly line. Sure you can play golf with the clubs and they look fine in your golf bag... but they are not built to fit your swing.

One of the Professional Clubmakers’ Society motto’s is “Your golf swing didn’t come off an assembly line…neither should your equipment”. Think about it, if you play with off the rack clubs are you not placing yourself at a disadvantage. These clubs are designed from statistics of a “normal players body” and are compiled by companies through the years. Seldom do they consider individual skill levels, player’s characteristics, or the experience level. Chimo Golf will measure each swing characteristic and then match the proper shaft (the transmission) to YOUR individual swing characteristics. This is what we look at when building your personal set of golf clubs.

There are two types of fittings that can be applied: Static and Dynamic

STATIC - includes gathering information about your game. Such things as flex, grip, body build, physical handicaps, physical strength, distance you currently hit the ball among other factors. These facts will be correlated and a set of clubs will be custom built to those specifications.

DYMANIC – this is by far the better method of fitting a golfer. This fitting may be done indoors or out. It involves hitting numerous golf balls and we will study hour swing patterns and ball flight prior to building your new set of clubs. Proper length, flex, grip size, swingweight will all be incorporated to determine what is best for your game.

As part of our DYNAMIC fittings we use the Distance Caddy as well as the determinator to find out the best flex for you.
The Distance Caddy system is used by CHIMO GOLF to determine the best shaft flex selection for optimum golf club performance. These systems are easy to use and completely portable for both indoor and green grass applications. The Distance Caddy measures golf club speed and golf ball speed and calculates the distance result and swing efficiency for each golf club, shaft and golf ball combination. The following Distance Caddy data is correlated to help us determine what flex is best for you.

Shot Distance * Estimated Roll * Club Head Speed at Impact * Ball Velocity * Swing Efficiency
  • Shot Distance - The DistanceCaddy® has the additional feature of determining the yardage gap between golf clubs so that a selected set has the correct performance based on golf shot distance.
  • Club Head Speed at Impact is the only true measure of how fast a golfer swings the club and how consistent they are. The Distance Caddy takes this measurement at the same place, every time.
  • Ball velocity is the true measure of how far the ball will travel. DistanceCaddy is the only company to physically measure the speed of the golf ball to correlate distance. We do not base our distance numbers on club head speed.
  • Swing Efficiency is the measure of potential ball velocity vs. actual ball velocity given in percentage. The perfect tool to compare shaft against shaft or club against club during a club fitting session. The numbers make sense because, obviously, the customer will swing a club, built for their exact specifications, more consistently and efficiently than a club not suited to them. SMASH FACTOR is the ball speed divided by the club speed.
Another club fitting tool Chimo Golf uses his the “Determinator”. This piece of equipment was developed to accurately measure and record actual data on the amount of load a golfer applies to the golf shaft when swinging a club. This data is necessary to fit golfers with the shaft that is optimum for their swing. The Determinator measures and records actual shaft loading and combined with the Distance Caddy will provide accurate shaft fitting information.
In short Chimo Custom Engineered Golf Clubs will be unique to your swing and playing ability. Having a set of consistent clubs built to your exacting specifications will add to the potential for you to consistently shoot lower scores.

This is what Chimo Golf checks and rechecks to ensure the most consistent set of golf clubs are placed in the hands of you………the golfer and our valued customer.
